Position

Job Description Summary:

 

Indirect Sourcing team is responsible for ensuring that the specified materials is delivered at Factory / Supplier (as applicable) at the right time, cost and quality. Indirect sourcing Leader is responsible for the establishment of a proper Sourcing / Fulfilment Strategy for each type of order / contract, and complete delivery of Supply Chain Management results in accordance to the project Contract, DOW & SCOPE, Master Time Schedule and Project Cost and Capex / Opex / NPI’s/
You will be responsible for driving culture of Safety, Quality and Integrity in everything we do and KPIs like spend, NNT, deflation, OTD, vendor recovery, etc.

  

Your Role:

General

  • Ensure prompt and effective communication with the team (on business developments, learning & experiences, directives, processes, operating plans & blueprints and general information)
  • Ensure compliance to processes, tools, guidelines and business directives
  • Regular touchpoints/ insights, and performance management of coordinated team members.
  • Manage & develop coordinated team members
  • Resource planning and resource management
  • Create and maintain a team culture as a basis for successful and motivated teamwork.
  • Trouble shooting and support to team members as and when required

 

Supplier Management – Sourcing and fulfilment

 

  • Manage the buying and fulfilment processes for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.
  • Understand market dynamics and support strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drive initiatives to meet sourcing objectives for all Indirect spend like Capex, Opex and NPI’s
    • Lead and frame India all locations contracts for facilities and services including coordination and collaboration with support functions
    • Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on purchases with existing or new vendor developments
    • Acts as functional expert for the development and execution of purchasing contracts for the organization e.g. for partnering, strategic alliances, technology transfers. Provides contracting expertise as needed across the organization.
      Take initiatives & propose Vendor Development, cost reductions, Lead-time reduction, lean etc.
    • Manage supplier relationships in the best interest of company
    • Work across factory teams and in tandem with Engineering, Shop,AME, Process specialists, Quality (Shop + Supplier), Purchase & Logistics teams for timely supplies.

Profile

 

Basic Qualifications(requirements):

 

  • Degree /Diploma in Engineering
  • At-least 10 + years of experience in sourcing/procurement in heavy engineering or project-based manufacturing industries
  • Preferably knowledge of Indirect commodities in Capex and Opex
  • Previous knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Travel – 5% to 10% of the time
  • Pro-active, Problem-solving attitude, Networking and communication skills.
  • Organizational skills including prioritization and resource deployment.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
