Position
The Resource Manager is responsible for assigning employees to jobs based on their skills, abilities, availability, and crew performance to maximize crew effectiveness. As the primary point of contact for employees, the Resource Manager ensures they are supported with training, mobilization, pay, and assignments while keeping training and performance reviews up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign employees to jobs in alignment with their skills, abilities, and availability to optimize crew performance.
- Manage field employees, including overseeing employee contracts, performance evaluations, training identification, job assignments, and mobilization.
- Act as the primary liaison for employees, addressing concerns related to training, mobilization, pay, and assignments.
- Collaborate with the Field Staffing Manager to validate crew composition for upcoming projects.
- Assemble well-balanced crews by leveraging analytical tools and multiple data sources to enhance team performance.
- Determine employee readiness statuses by incorporating multiple factors including Scheduler Workload, bench retainers, Break-In-Service, and Work Time Regulations
- Collaborate with the Field Staffing Manager to ensure employee availability by analyzing mobilization/ demobilization plans, sick leave, paid time off, and personal leave
- Partner with the Immigration team to complete necessary documents and ensure employees are cleared for travel.
- Monitor and report on employee utilization, bench cost, training needs, and resource readiness to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Conduct audits and inspections during installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance activities to ensure quality standards are met.
- Analyze customer feedback and project outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement in resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with the Training team to identify and coordinate career development opportunities for employees.
- Coordinate with EHS teams to ensure employees meet all required training and certification standards.
- Maintain and update training records and certifications in appropriate systems.
- Participate in talent development reviews to retain and nurture top talent.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Staffing Manager.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in a similar role with experience in coordinating field resources.
- Strong project management and planning capabilities.
- Technical expertise or relevant industry experience in power generation, technical operations, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving to improve crew performance and resource utilization.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with employees and stakeholders.
- Ability to handle a variety of responsibilities accurately and efficiently under time-sensitive deadlines.
- Proficiency in English.
