The Lead Project Planner leads the Project Planning & Scheduling activity from NTP to delivery or PAC of the Project. They will take all necessary actions within their capacity to ensure the project is completed on time.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the schedule and generates action plans enabling the Project team to keep the Project Schedule under control and in line with the approved project baseline.
  • Establishes related parts of the Master Time Schedules (MTS) and ensures alignment with other products and sub-projects.
  • Monthly progress and efficiency control and reporting for the subproject part of the project.
  • Informs the Project Manager and Project Lead Planner (if any) of deviations from planned values, proposes recovery plans, and implements validated actions.
  • Educates and trains Project Team Members on Schedule Requirements.
  • Actively participates in the risk & opportunities process, identifying mitigation and action plans, and implementing them once validated.
  • Supports Sales and Tendering by generating, executing, and following up on the Tender Time Schedule (TTS).
  • Leads the Consortium Planning team and coordinates internal and external participant planners at the project level.
  • Supervises, supports, and coaches Subproject Planners or Project Planners based on project complexity.
  • Leads project-specific planner meetings in home offices or at site as required.
  • Prepares and owns the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) based on project scope and Division of Work (DOW).
  • Ensures compliance with Customer, local authority, and contract planning requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains internal and external reporting procedures, identifying risks and opportunities affecting project timelines.
  • Proactively manages internal and external project activities, closely monitoring Critical Paths and project float.
  • Measures and communicates project performance, monitors progress, trend indicators, and milestone achievements.
  • Prepares and provides Project Planning reports on a monthly basis, highlighting critical areas for the Project Director, Project Manager, and team.
  • Works closely with Participant’s Planners to consolidate scope progress into the IMS and manage interface issues.
  • Supports Project Manager in project planning and control matters.

Project Development & Execution:

  • Supports tendering planning team in bid development, preparing, reviewing, and modifying the Tender Time Schedule (TTS).
  • Develops the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
  • Ensures schedules reflect the correct scope of work and logical work sequences.
  • Ensures quality coding in line with business procedures (WBS structure, scope position, responsibility, etc.).
  • Obtains internal and external commitments to a common target schedule.
  • Develops and manages the Contractual Schedule and agreed contractual reporting.
  • Implements a comprehensive Progress Reporting System to support project decision-making.
  • Identifies deviations from baseline and implements mitigation actions.
  • Reviews and approves supplier schedules and ensures supplier dates align with purchase orders.
  • Oversees Site Project Planner and System Time Schedule (STS) Planners.
  • Ensures contractual milestones (DTO, CTO, MHO, TOPs) are appropriately included in the Master Time Schedule.
  • Reviews and monitors project progress, including engineering documents, supplier reports, site transport, and construction progress.
  • Prepares and submits monthly internal and customer planning reports.
  • Ensures IMS includes contractual requirements for tracking commercial issues (claims, payments, subcontracts, orders, etc.).
  • Assists in claim preparation by providing detailed supporting schedules.
  • Provides IFRS milestones and progress updates for Project Controller revenue recognition.
  • Commits to feedback and process improvements for future projects.

Profil

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
  • Minimum of three fully executed projects in a project planning role.
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written).

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of power plant systems, particularly in nuclear energy.
  • Effective negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software for reporting and analysis.
