Position

Job Description Summary: 

 

Drive and coordinate the execution with (SQDC) Zero deviation in Safety and Quality. Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD & shop Utilization. Demonstrate appropriate leadership behavior to guide the shop floor team and standard work. Perform the daily operations of shift to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline.

 

 

Your Role:

 

  • Ensure the Machining of parts /Assembly process, Tooling, programming and Planning requirements in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost at Sanand Factory
  • Control, Organize, monitor production operations as per plan, implement corrective action as necessary. Make recovery plan for delays, implement, and ensure targets agreed are achieved.
  • Lead and guide the team to develop & execute objectives for self & others with alignment to short-term & long-term business goals of the organization.
  • Manpower supervision and Team management for Machine shop, casing assembly & blade shop activities.
  • Maintain and Update Skill Matrix of all technicians along with their development plan.
  • Lead and guide the team to develop & execute objectives with alignment to short-term & long-term business goals of the organization.
  • Create awareness among team to raise stop work/Quality Concern on any deviations.
  • Should have clear understanding on product requirements of Turbine and Generators from 10MW to 700MW.
  • Well Convergent with Turbine manufacturing processes like Fork Root Drilling/Straddle Root Machining.
  • Ensure correct allocation of resources to make the Lean concepts deployment a success, make problems visible, and allow problem solving to take place.
  • Lead and Drive Root Cause analysis for any NCRs/Customer Feedback.
  • Coordinate with process team & Machine shop for uninterrupted Production.

 

 

 

Profile

 

Basic Qualifications(requirements):

 

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical engineering
  • Min 3 – year experience in Machine shop or related function & Assembly Shop (Turbine/Generator)
  • Well convergent with SAP/Microsoft Office tools
