Position
Job Description :
The stator manufacturing support engineer is part of the Generator Design Engineering Team. He/She supports the factories (Belfort or Sanand) for all topics related to design and technical topics. He/She also designs generators, realize manufacturing and contractual documentation.
Main Duties:
The Stator Manufacturing Support Engineer will be responsible to support, answer the technical clarifications from factories. He/She is the main contact for the factories. He/She works closely with the Stator Lead Design Engineer, electrical & mechanical calculation Engineers in order to get all the information required to support quickly the factories.
He/she is in charge to give feedbacks from factories to design team in order to increase the quality of our manufacturing documentation. He/she is also involved in generator design, manufacturing and contractual documentation.
Responsibilities:
- To be the main contact for the factory to answer technical issues and/or clarifications.
- To give inputs for answering NCR/deviation to lead project Engineers.
- To ensure experience feedback from the factories to Engineering.
- To ensure NCR feedback experience (Lesson Learned)
- To support improvement projects with factories.
- Promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in the team.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear safety requirements, quality procedures and engineering integrity.
- To participate in technical meetings with factories to ensure products and systems comply with technical design and specifications
- To support continuous improvement actions to reduce product costs, improve product quality and reliability.
- To realize general design engineering.
- To ensure the delivery of the engineering part lists and documentations on time, at agreed costs, with agreed scope and in the right quality, at customer satisfaction.
- To apply harmonized engineering processes and tools within the generators activity and with other disciples.
- To follow the validation process for all deliverables in accordance with quality, time and cost
- To manage the sub-contracted design tasks.
Authority:
Area(s) where the position holder is the decision maker:
- Technical assessment for NCR (non conformance report) and derogation.
- Analysis, comments and evaluation of factories queries.
- Development, maintain and enhancement of generator components design for tendering and order execution of generators
- Validate the generator design.
- Access to CAD tools.
Area(s) where the position holder provides recommendations:
- Tendering phase of customer projects.
Profile
Required Competences
Education:
Mandatory (MUST)
- Master degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5).
- Good knowledge of PPLM and PDM tools
- MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Good knowledge of rotating electrical machines, particularly generators.
- Trained to Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Trained to ITNS-I/ITNS-A management and NS tagging
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE):
Good knowledge of Power Plant environment, customers and partners.
Good knowledge of internal and international standards.
Experience
Mandatory (MUST)
- At least 5 years of experience in Design engineering in the domain of product engineering, service and manufacturing.
Practical experience in CAD (Autocad, CATIA V5), RPDM, PPLM and MS Office (word, Excel, etc.).
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE)
- Experience in a similar position
