Job Description :
Main Duties:
The Rotor Design Discipline Leader will lead the team of generator rotor design engineers and technicians, and the realization of manufacturing and contractual documentation. He/She participates to improvement actions and manage the sub-contracted studies. He/She supports the other teams (Methods, Manufacturing, Sourcing) for all topics related to design and technical topics.
The Rotor Design Discipline Leader works closely with the Project Engineering Manager, Lead Generator Engineer, electrical & mechanical calculation Engineers in order to get all the information required to meet the functional requirements of the targeted solution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the generator rotor and exciter design engineers and technicians’ team.
- Support general design engineering and manage assembly design engineers for nuclear generators.
- Ensure the delivery of the engineering part lists and documentations on time, at agreed costs, with agreed scope and in the right quality, at customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with standards, internal engineering process and directives within the scope concerned.
- Actively collaborate with stator design team, electrical calculation team, electrical peripheral and control team and support the Generator Lead Engineers.
- Support improvement projects with our main suppliers.
- Ensure experience feedback from our customer projects.
- Support/participate to NPI activities to ensure new developments, product improvements.
- Support the harmonization and optimization of the product life cycle in execution (Project and NPI) and of the landscape of the tools used within the Nuclear Products. In this context, you will ensure the development and maintenance of engineering standards (design rules, manufacturing specification, interface management, etc.) and the associated tools.
- Plan workload, resource allocation, and achievement/monitoring of key success indicators
- Support resolution of significant site or factory problems and queries.
- Support continuous improvement actions to reduce product costs, improve product quality and reliability.
- Apply solid analytical methods to solve complex problems (8D/RCA/…)
- Ensure technical representation with internal/external customers during contract activity.
- Manage the sub-contracted design tasks.
- Ensure NCR feedback experience (Lesson Learned)

- Interact with Engineers worldwide from internal and external design and manufacturing teams,
- Coordinate design engineers and technicians.

- Development, maintain and enhancement of generator components design for tendering and order execution of generators.
- Manufacturing and site supports.
Required Competences:
Mandatory (MUST)
- Master degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of MTA and PDM tools
- MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Good knowledge of generator products, particularly rotors and exciters.
- Configuration management
- Trained to Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Trained to ITNS-I/ITNS-A management and NS tagging
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE):
- Good knowledge of Power Plant environment, customers and partners.
- Good knowledge of internal and international standards.
Profile
Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in Design engineering in the domain ofproduct engineering, service and/or manufacturing.
- Practical experience in RPDM, MTA and MS Office (word, Excel, etc.).
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE):
- Experience in a similar position
