Are you seeking an exciting new opportunity in a growing market? We are currently an IWE certified and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our team in Elblag. As an SQE you will be quality monitoring external suppliers for new build projects of Steam Turbines and Generator components according to supplier quality RACI ensuring appropriate controls are implemented on purchased products, all along procurement, manufacturing and packing.
You will be responsible for carrying out audits and inspections at equipment suppliers, including review and assessment of their QMS and quality control activities and requesting corrective actions where necessary. Ultimately your goal is to improve quality of products within the process whilst ensuring that quality and safety standards are adhered to at all times and that product is compliant with contact requirements and applicable regulations.
Other keys Responsibilities will include;
- To propose improvement projects to increase the effectiveness of the processes
- Assess suppliers manufacturing capability through Commodity Technical Assessment
- Record related actions plans and approve qualification requests in the supplier database
- Attend pre-award meetings with suppliers and Sourcing/Engineering
- Contribute to award sheet with quality inputs
- Confirm supplier surveillance strategy with project team
- Organize the kick-off & pre-inspection meetings with suppliers and relevant GE representatives
- Support PQM in supplier quality documentation review
- Review and validate all inspection reports by final conclusion
- Release material for shipment ensure all deviations are closed
- Review the End Of Manufacturing Reports (EOMR)
- Authorize shipment once all quality requirements are met
- Continuously follow up the punch items and nonconformities resulting from the quality surveillance inspections up to their closure
- Record and/or distribute nonconformities identified at suppliers
- Drive RCA with suppliers, with 8D at least following High & Critical NCRs
- Initiate and contribute to the Supplier Performance Rating Process
- Support Sourcing in updating suppliers’ qualification status based on their performance assessment
Profil
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- IWE (International Welding Engineer Qualification)
- Auditor Certification would be desirable but not necessary
- Significant experience in a combination of Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain environments.
- Fluent in English
