Mission:
‘New Product Introduction’ (NPI) Is the portfolio of Arabelle solutions R&D projects.
NPI programs’ managers lead the overall planning, definition, structuration, quality and on-time execution of NPI programs In Balance of Plant (BoP) and Power Plant Systems Integration.
Responsibilities:
R&D (NPI) Program Manager, in BoP and Systems Integration technology areas:
- is responsible and accountable for defining and agreeing with Product Management and Engineering disciplines the NPI programs Project specification.
- is responsible and accountable to detail technical requirements from higher level Product Management specifications, planning execution activities, monitoring progress versus spends, achieving assigned NPI program targets (e.g.: cost, performance, lead time, reliability).
- He/She Is able to set autonomously an R&D/NPI program execution plan for Turbines and Heat exchangers, Identifying the relevant validation steps and list of deliverables, In accordance with company processes and procedures.
- is the primary point of contact for the assigned NPI programs execution (new product development or existing product improvement) reporting information, making and implementing relevant decisions.
- Coordinates and Lead resources, and activities, assigned to the programs by the various functions (e.g.: Engineering, Core Service engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing,…).
- Acts overall as NPI Project Manager, steering and leading all aspects of a NPI program with an emphasis on safety (nuclear safety, product safety, functional safety), compliance to technical and regulatory requirements, budget, schedule, risks and their reduction and lifecycle management of products.
- He/she executes his/her duties in accordance with quality management system applying standard processes and using company Project Execution tools (MTA, EDM)
- Contributes to Programs Management continuous improvement Initiatives, sharing best practises with other program managers.
- Is accountable for the proactive dialogue with stakeholders on any relevant function (e.g. Factory, Sourcing, Sales, Quality,…..) , identifying possible roadblocks to on-time quality-wise delivery of NPI programs, putting In place preventive mitigation actions.
- Coordinates the NPI Program technical resolutions, consulting the relevant design authorities.
- He/she leads resources allocation required for the execution of NPI programs in close collaboration with the functional and discipline leaders.
- He/she conducts Change Management process for the programmes, actualizing the execution plans and deliverables.
- He/She leads and organize the NPI design reviews and associated follow up
- He/she presents the outcome of the work’s progress at milestone gate reviews (technical design reviews and Board of Directors (BOD) reviews).
- He/She works In load balancing mode with engineering disciplines and other Program Managers, taking direct execution on R&D/NPI design activities, or taking in charge the PgM execution of NPI programs from other technological areas.
- Travels up to 25% of his/her time, as per stakeholders and business needs
Profile
Education:
- MUST: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent degrees.
- DESIRED: Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP).
Experience (must)
- Over 5 years working in the power generation, products.
- Proven technical knowledge of the assigned technological area, product (e.g.: turbines, generators, heat exchangers, pumps) or systems engineering (e.g.: excitation systems, turbine protection & control systems, plant integration).
- Strong experience in product development and/or project engineering management in conventional island of nuclear power plants or fossil power plants.

Product knowledge:
R&D (NPI) Program Manager has a Balance of Plant (BoP) and Power Plant Systems Integration proven background, being familiar with EPC contracting engineering cycle and plant standardization.
He/she Is also technology curios, with a natural Interest and knowledge (although not being an expert) of complementary Systems Integration technologies and disciplines such as Software, Digital, Cyber , AI, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Manufacturing, etc..
