Position

Job Description Summary:

 

Drive and coordinate the Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities at Fabrication Shop for Nuclear Projects to ensure zero customer complaints, robust manufacturing processes and traceability of materials. Demonstrate appropriate leadership behaviors to guide the team.

 

Your Role:

 

  • Clarify product requirements with external customer/Project Team and cascade the same to the quality and manufacturing counterparts.
  • Get Customer Feedback, Monitor CXI & Initiate Improvement actions based on feedback
  • Ensure Customer Hold Point calls are raised maintaining project notification timelines
  • Monitor Customer Complaint & Coach Team on problem solving techniques like RCA/CAPA/8D etc.
  • Ensure all product requirements are met from receipt to dispatch
  • Monitor daily inspection activities and NDT Level II in UT/PT/MT activities as per ISO 9712 (EN Specification)
  • Follow NCR procedures specific to nuclear projects, drive LL & Implementation for future projects, Maintain Central Repository, Connect with Network Factories
  • Create awareness among team to raise stop work/Quality Concern on small deviations
  • Create Awareness (in gen/specific) related to nuclear product requirements within team and
  • cross functional team/participate in kick off meeting
  • Review and approve all quality documents and compile as a EOMR package to external customer and Store at Centralized location
  • Ensure process adherence during execution as per nuclear component manufacturing standards.
  • Review and understand the quality requirements of each product and identify the special
  • instrument requirement in advance
  • Drive Continuous Improvement activities of Fabrication shop
  • Active participation in FMEA meetings and ensure all relevant risks are identified and mitigated before execution of process
  • Closely work with Process engineer for any improvement on current manufacturing
  • process/new upcoming projects
  • Maintain and Update Skill Matrix of all Quality Team along with their development plan.
  • Identify training need of the team based on the skill assessment and new project requirement.
  • Mentor and Support Shift engineers on daily activities.
  • Compile EOMR and upload in MTA/RPDM and review with PQM for correctness and Completeness.

Profile

Basic Qualifications(requirements):

 

  • Degree in engineering or business administration or similar
  • Able to train the management staff/technicians on quality related topics
  • Welding Inspection Certification
  • Painting Inspection
  • NDT Level II in UT/PT/MT/RT as per SNT TC 1A (Mandatory)
  • Well convergent with SAP/MTA/Microsoft Office tools

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Welding Inspection Certification
  • NDT Level II in UT/PT/MT as per ISO 9712 (EN Specification)
  • Previous experience in people and organizational management/leadership
  • NDT Level III in UT/PT/MT/RT as per SNT TC 1A

 

This is an LPB (Lead Professional Band) role.
