Position

Job Description Summary:

 

Drive and coordinate Quality Control activities for Machine Shop to ensure zero customer complaints and to drive improvement in overall inspection processes.

 

Your Role:

 

  • Knowledge about basic EHS guidelines/Environmental aspect and Risk related to inspection activities on Machines and during Assembly
  • Knowledge about Risk related to chemical management related to Nondestructive testing and able to interpret MSDS related to associated chemicals.
  • In depth knowledge about Machining and Assembly process preferably from Steam Turbine Manufacturing Processes
  • Well conversant for using of Measuring instrument like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gagues etc..
  • Knowledge about operating portable CMM like Leica/Faro. Ready to work in all three shifts on rotational basis
  • Machine shop inspections while working in shift. Carryout stage inspection and final inspection of component/assembly as per Manufacturing Operation Plan.
  • In-depth knowledge about the Steam Turbine manufacturing process and quality requirements
  • Design and validate inspection protocol to be used on machine
  • Raise flag for any non-conformance/process deviations
  • Sound knowledge of all machining processes and usage of precision measurement instruments like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gagues etc..
  • Hands on experience on QM Module of SAP
  • Well convergent with manufacturing process like Machining, Assembly and Fabrication of Steam Turbine Components
  • Create awareness among team to raise stop work/Quality Concern on small deviations
  • Active participation in FMEA meetings and ensure all relevant risks are identified and mitigated before execution of process
  • Collaborate with Cell PQE on new Gauges/Instruments needed for upcoming projects during tendering stage.

 

Profile

Basic Qualifications(requirements):

 

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-7 Years of Experience
  • Well convergent with SAP/MTA/Microsoft Office tools (Advance understanding needed)

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • NDT Level II in LPT/MPT as per ASNT
