Position
Our Rugby Service centre is currently recruiting for a PCN level 2 certified NDT Inspector to join our team. As a member of the NDT team, you will be an active contributor in the implementation, definition and execution of NDT Inspections and tests in various disciplines to verify that incoming or manufactured products meet required standards before progressing to the next phase of production or being sent to customer.
Within the role you will be responsible for ensuring the relevant quality control inspections and tests (NDT Tasks) are planned, executed and appropriately recorded. You will also ensure that the required NDT tests and inspection of products are performed in compliance with international, national regulations, the relevant internal and customers’ quality requirements as specified in specifications, standards, procedures, and contract.
Other Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that NDT equipment calibration and maintenance is planned, performed, and recorded and that equipment is capable for the assigned NDT task.
- Release goods and services for next process steps.
- Raise Technical Deviation Notes in-case requirements are not satisfied.
- Establish and maintain accurate records of tests and inspections that are compliant with audit processes.
- Support corrective, preventive investigations, and actions, as required.
- To act according to defined Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety instructions, including general and company own rules.
- National and/or international site work may be required so experience of working on-site and interfacing directly with customer as required.
Profile
Qualifications
- Currently holding, or working towards PCN level 2 certificate in the following disciplines:
- MT (Magnetic Particle Inspection)
- PT (Penetrant Inspection)
- UT (Ultrasonic Inspection)
- Dimensional & Visual Inspection ·
- Knowledge of turbine or generator components is preferred however experience within heavy engineering or heavy manufacturing will also be considered
- Experience of working collaboratively with ability to liaise effectively within the internal factory, company network and external professional NDT bodies / customers as required.
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- You are someone who demonstrates a thirst and ability to learn, grow and develop. Are conscientious, adaptable and always operate with utmost integrity
