Position

Job Description:

 

  • Implement and maintain the Manufacturing Unit Environmental, Health, Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and the company requirements,
  • Lead by example and conduct, sponsor or personally drive Arabelle solutions Environmental, Health, Safety rules, standards, and culture.
  • Strengthen and deploy Environmental, Health, Safety habits and behaviors among the factory population and throughout the EHS community.
  • Support the Sanand factory Environmental, Health, Safety positions, objectives and actions and speak as Sanand’s voice.
  • Help the Environmental, Health, Safety team and direct reports to grow and assume their respective roles In the new Arabelle solutions environment and future.
  • Oversee few of EHS related activities e.g., Employee trainings, Orientation for Noida and Bangalore locations.

EHS Leader Role:

 

  • Personally drive, promote, and lead by example all applicable Arabelle solutions EHS requirements.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of Sanand factory related rules defined in the factory EHS Plan, revise as necessary in agreement with the Factory Manager, and take appropriate actions in the event of non-compliance.
  • Continuously provide and advise relevant information to the Factory Manager in relation to any arising situation / activities related to EHS.
  • Ensure full implementation of the clients EHS Standards and Arabelle solutions procedures, as necessary.
  • Conduct an EHS subcontractor audit program to monitor compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and the company requirements.
  • Monitor the implementation of the Life Saving Rules and take appropriate actions in the event of non-compliance.
  • Implement & administrate the EHS training program for Sanand factory personnel. Need basis, Impart some of the country level EHS trainings to employees across India.
  • Organize (and deliver, when relevant) adequate EHS communication to the Arabelle solutions factory personnel whenever required (EHS Toolbox talks, communication on specific EHS issues, EHS awareness campaign, etc…).
  • Ensure EHS is considered by the Factory Management team in the coordination of field activities, especially where interfaces are involving subcontractors or operational areas of plant.
  • Ensure full implementation of the risk assessment / method statement identification, preparation, review, and communication processes.
  • Ensure that all Factory EHS events (accidents / incidents, near-misses, first aid cases, property damages, etc.) are recorded, investigated, and analyzed to prevent recurrence.
  • Report all Factory EHS events (accidents / incidents, near-misses, first aid cases, property damages, etc.) to the Factory Lead Manager and EHS Regional leader in time.
  • Ensure provision of the Factory EHS induction in accordance with Arabelle solutions requirements.
  • Advise Factory Manager on legal exposure and EHS concerns related to any change or decision managed at factory level.
  • Review EHS documents submitted by the subcontractors when relevant.
  • Take ownership and build up, monitor, or provide progress and achievement on regular get-Well Plans or factory Heat Maps at factory level.
  • Drive change management for topics related to Environmental, Health, Safety Management.
  • Ensure factory EHS & other legal compliances and related status are updated in the relevant IT tools
  • Partner with Site facility and HR team in handling of Occupational Health Center
  • Closely co-ordinate with company medical director on long term sickness and employee’s health issues if required
  • 3rd Party Certification
    • Ensure Annual Action Plan developed and Implemented
    • Ensure Trained resources are available support the activities
    • Conduct reviews and Audits in defined frequency.
    • Ensure gaps identified are closed and effective.

Manager role:

 

  • Implement and monitor team members’ personal objectives, daily management and specifically assigned tasks.
  • Help everyone among the EHS team to feel confident and to grow in Arabelle solutions.
  • Ensure cooperation and adhesion through challenging but achievable targets.
  • Recognize efforts and achievements, correct, and consider deviations and promote relevant cultural behaviors related to EHS.
  • Act as a leader for Top management and as a guide, a mentor and a reference leader for EHS team.
  • Focus on decision making, problem solving and leadership mindset.
  • Give priority and promote teamwork.
  • Provide and help to define short/mid/long term vision for Arabelle solutions Environmental, Health, Safety Management.
  • Ensure proper internal and external communication whenever relevant and drive EHS related feedback.
  • Constantly promote stop-work, open reporting, and shared vigilance key principles.
  • Be a change maker and EHS culture shaper.
  • Lead by example EHS rigor.

Profile

Basic Qualifications(requirements):

 

  • Graduate / Post Graduate in Science / Engineering in Electrical/ Mechanical / Chemical   & Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety from Recognized by Central Government / state government with 15+ Years’ Experience

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Site EHS leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
  • Knowledge of  Safety Health and Environment.
  • Knowledge of EHS  Regulatory  requirement.
  • Knowledge of Lean and problem-solving tools.
  • Knowledge of Wastewater treatment.
  • Good knowledge on Fire prevention and protection system.
  • Good Training skill.

Education & Trainings:

Mandatory (MUST)

 

  • Hold a National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Have demonstrable competence in understanding and controling compliance to Regulations.
  • Be competent with the Microsoft packages – Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.

Desirable

  • ISO45001 Internal Auditor Certificate.
  • ISO14001 Internal Auditor Certificate.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Recognised Accident/Incident Investigation Training.

Professional Experience:

Mandatory (MUST)

 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in EHS within industrial & mechanical or construction environment, preferably in the power plant or oil & gas industry.
    Problem solving skills,
  • Able to navigate in a worldwide multi-cultural environment.

Language Skills:

  • High proficiency in English (oral & written).
