Position

We are delighted to announce that we are currently seeking an Project Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer to join our growing team. Within this role you will travel to customer sites to support both internal and external customers with the production, and management of outage-specific quality plans for Steam Turbines and Generator installation, maintenance, retrofits and warranty work based on outage scope.

Location: Field based (UK + overseas)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the site management communicates and implements the Arabelle Solutions QMSs
  • Advise the site of shortfalls in the implementation of the QMS
  • Liaise with the client in order to integrate the Arabelle Solutions QMS, with the clients requirements, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2000.
  • Perform Quality Audits as planned 3M, 1M before the Outage and during execution and/or as required by the Customer.
  • Participate as the Quality Representative of the PFMEA and LAWO sessions.
  • Support creation and execution of Outage Quality Control Plans (QCP).
  • Provide coaching on Foreign Material Exclusion, FME Plan creation and implementation.
  • Support Non-Conformance Process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as assigned.
  • Provide support in ensuring that CoPQ is captured in accordance with Arabelle Solutions Procedures
  • Attend Site and Customer meetings, as needed, to address any quality topics arising.
  • Support the Customers feedback process, analyse customer responses and lead any corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Collate and distribute information received from the site personnel, client and sub-contractors.
  • Review extra work instructions, ensuring quality requirements are identified.

 

Profile

Basic Requirements:

  • Recognized Apprenticeship or City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Studies.
  • ISO 9000 Auditor training (IATC).
  • Proficient in Quality Tools (FMEA, PDCA, Human Error Prevention).
  • Experience with Quality Audits and ISO 9001 QMS.
  • Safety training (CCNSG/Safety Passport or equivalent).
  • Field Service QA Engineer experience in industrial settings.
  • Experience in installation and service activities, preferably in power plants or oil and gas industry.
  • Skilled in inspection and testing practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipment.
  • Familiarity with Arabelle Solutions Foreign Material Exclusion requirements.
  • Strong individual and team skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
