Senior Commercial Manager – New Nuclear Services (Region 2)
Location: Loughborough, Rugby
Join us as a Senior Commercial Manager in Region 2, where you’ll shape and drive our execution strategy aligned with the pipeline for upgrade/complex opportunities over a 3-5 year horizon. Lead global, multifunctional teams to implement commercial strategies on complex proposals and multiyear agreements. Internal functions coordinated in this process include Application Engineering, Core service engineering, New Build Engineering, S&OP, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance, Legal, EHS, Project Management and Service.
Guided by commercial practices and policies that may be shaped by the role. You will have significant control/influence over commercial priorities with moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgement are required to achieve outcomes required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop Region 2 Execution Strategy aligned with the pipeline for Upgrade/complex opportunities within a 3-5 year horizon. Laying out each Opportunity’s direction, defining initial key problem areas to Bid/Win, ensuring to maintain harmonization approach across the opportunities for example but not limited to.
- Technology transfer.
- Understanding local market dynamics
- Investment in NPI
- Ensuring a structured approach to the Deal selection process. Develop Winning strategy for Long Term Operation Plants. Understanding of market dynamics & competitive landscape and ensure we act upon our learnings from W/L
- Developing specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communication skills to influence others. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area and integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns, or customers. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Proposal/Tendering and in the power industry.
- Master’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a Bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma with relevant experience.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
