Position

This position will primarily involve travel to customer Power Plants in the UK supporting our external customers, with installation, stripdown, inspection, maintenance activities and reassembly of power units and their auxiliaries on units ranging from 2MW through to 2000MW World class execution done with Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost mindset.
An understanding of basic Mechanical Engineering would be desired, however, training will be given to develop the operative with new skills for career progression.
 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Follow Appropriate Arabelle Solutions Policies, Procedures and complete necessary documentation. 
  • Comply with the integrity and compliance guidelines as well as promote a safe working environment 
  • As part of a centric minded squad, installation and maintenance on customer’s equipment be it Turbines, Generators, Auxiliaries. 
  • Develop an understanding of Engineering documents and processes 
  • Develop an understanding of all aspects of mechanical engineering measuring techniques to high tolerances. 
  • Develop experience in Large Turbine, Generator and Auxiliaries 
  • Perform other suitable duties as assigned or required.  
  • Work under strict Foreign Material Exclusion rules. 

Profile

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Travel to and from various field assignments.
  • Basic IT Literacy.
  • Full Driving License. 
  • Fluent in English language.  
  • This position will be subject to Nuclear vetting. 

 

Desired Characteristics: 

  • Achieved or working towards NVQ in Mechanical Studies preferred. 
  • Power Plant experience.
  • Demonstrates individual & team skills. 
  • Strong organisational skills.  
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.  
  • Experience and training on Alstom, Siemens or other OEM equipment would be an advantage.
