Position

The Turbine Modules Mechanical Design Engineer will work for world-class nuclear steam turbines, which are industry leading equipment
in terms of performance, availability and power and will play a central role in mechanical engineering performance. 

Perform general studies of the steam turbine components using CATIA V5;

Responsibilities:

• Conduct design or adaptation studies for turbine components: sizing, design, analysis;
• Develop 3D models using CATIA V5 in accordance with GE methodology;
• Draft component supply and manufacturing drawings;
• Produce bills of materials using GE tools (VPDM & RPDM);
• Responsible for the timely delivery of engineering documentation;
• Responisble for the creation of written method instructions (factory, assembly, maintenance).

Authority

• support the project mechanical lead engineer (MLE) for the preparation of manufacturing orders (RPDM)
support the MLE in responding to clarifications, derogations and plant and site non-conformities (analysis and proposal of
solutions);
•support the MLE for engineering design reviews and factory feedback meetings (feedback analysis, design evaluation,
interface analysis). 

Profile

Education
• Degree in mechanical engineering / mechanical design

Experience

• Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in a mechanical design environment (energy, oil, aeronautics, special machines).
Behavioural and/or Technical Know-how
• Knowledge of standard mechanical construction parts (plates, tubes, bolts, flanges, etc.)
• General knowledge of standard manufacturing processes (welding, casting, forging, turning, milling, etc.)
• Use of common IT tools: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
• Experienced user of advanced CAD software: Catia V5 ( at least 3 years of experience).
• 3DVia user (preferred)
• User of PLM software: Enovia (preferred)

Language skills
• English: Fluent

Candidater
